Your privacy matters to us. This privacy notice explains what personal data we collect on the BonusOut website (bonusout-uk.com), why we use it, who may see it, how long we keep it and what rights you have under UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
This notice applies only to our activities on bonusout-uk.com. It does not apply to information collected offline or through channels other than this website.
Who is responsible
BonusOut operates bonusout-uk.com and decides how and why the personal data described in this notice is used. For anything to do with privacy, email us at info@bonusout-uk.com or use our contact page.
BonusOut is an information website. We do not run gambling games and we do not take payments, so we never ask you for card details, bank details or identity documents.
Personal data we collect
Personal data is any information that relates to an identifiable person. If something could identify you, on its own or combined with other details, we treat it with care.
Data you give us
- Messages – your name, email address, the content of your message and any attachments, when you contact us.
- Newsletter details – your email address, if we send a newsletter and you subscribe.
We tell you what we need and why when we ask. You do not have to give us personal data to read the website.
Data collected automatically
- Technical data – your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the date and time of your visit, the pages you view and the page you came from. Most web hosts keep this kind of information in log files.
- Cookie data – preferences, pages visited and device information, as described in the Cookies section.
Why we use it
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use of personal data. We use it only for purposes connected with running the website:
- Operating and securing the website – keeping pages available, fixing faults and protecting the site from misuse. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
- Understanding how the website is used – measuring traffic and improving our guides. Where cookies or similar technologies are involved, we rely on your consent.
- Answering your enquiry – replying to your message and keeping a record of the conversation. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
- Sending updates – newsletters or similar messages, only where you have asked for them. Our lawful basis is your consent.
- Advertising and affiliate tracking – recording whether a visitor arrived through, or followed a link to, a partner site so that the partner can be credited correctly. Where cookies or similar technologies are involved, we rely on your consent.
Consent and your choices
Where the law requires us to ask for your consent, for example before we set advertising cookies, we will ask for it. You can also control cookies yourself, as described in the Cookies section.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by changing your browser settings or by emailing info@bonusout-uk.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link in the message.
Cookies
What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Websites use them to keep pages working, to remember your preferences and to measure how a site is used. We may also use similar technologies, such as tracking pixels.
Cookies we may use
- Essential cookies – keep the website working and secure.
- Analytics cookies – show us which pages are visited and for how long, so that we can improve our content. We may use tools such as Google Analytics for this.
- Testing cookies – from time to time we test new features, and these cookies keep your experience consistent while a test is running.
- Conversion cookies – show us how many visitors complete a given action, which helps us judge how well our links work.
- Form and newsletter cookies – remember details you enter in a form or whether you have subscribed.
- Advertising and affiliate cookies – let a partner see that a visitor came from our website so that the partner can credit us correctly. We may also show advertising through services such as Google AdSense.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by other companies, for example analytics providers, advertising networks and affiliate partners. We cannot access or control them. These companies may receive your IP address and information about your device directly from your browser. Each of them has its own privacy notice, which explains how it handles that information.
How to manage cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Your browser’s help pages explain how. Blocking cookies may stop parts of this and other websites from working properly.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is needed to run the website or where the law requires it. This may include:
- our web hosting and technical support providers
- analytics providers
- advertising and affiliate partners and their networks
- our newsletter delivery provider, if we send a newsletter
- public authorities or courts, where we are legally required to provide information
These providers may use the data only for the services they supply to us or, in the case of advertising and affiliate partners, for their own tracking and reporting.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of the companies described above, such as analytics and advertising providers, may store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer must be covered by the safeguards that UK data protection law requires. We do not control where those providers keep their data, so we look for providers that explain how they protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this notice or as long as the law requires. In general:
- Technical and log data – for a limited period, then deleted or anonymised.
- Analytics data and cookies – for the period set in each tool.
- Emails and other correspondence – for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.
- Newsletter details – until you unsubscribe.
When we no longer need data, we delete it or remove anything that could identify you.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No website or online service can be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over the personal data we hold about you. Among other things, you can ask us:
- to give you access to it – to confirm whether we hold data about you and to provide a copy
- to correct it – if it is inaccurate or incomplete
- to delete it – and we will do so unless we need to keep it for a legal reason
- to restrict how we use it – in certain circumstances
- to move it – to give you the data you provided in a format that another organisation can read, where this right applies
- to stop using it – you can object to uses based on our legitimate interests and to direct marketing, for example by asking us to stop sending you newsletters
Not every right applies in every situation. Email info@bonusout-uk.com with your request. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it. We reply as quickly as possible and within one calendar month of receiving your request. For a complex request, or if you make more than one, the law allows a longer period, and we will tell you if that applies. If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, please write to us first at info@bonusout-uk.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, keep you updated on progress and tell you the outcome.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator. The ICO advises people to raise a concern with the organisation involved first, so that it has a chance to put things right.
Children
bonusout-uk.com is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
If you believe a child has given us personal data, email info@bonusout-uk.com and we will remove it.
Links to other websites
BonusOut links to gambling operators, regulators, support services and other third-party websites, and some links are affiliate links. We are not responsible for those websites, their content or how they handle personal data. Once you follow a link, that website’s own privacy notice applies. You can read how we are funded on our How we make money page.

We may update this notice, for example when the tools we use or the law change. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown below.
